About the Role
Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal and External Relations Associate to support our legal operations and manage relationships with CMAP members and partners, including government agencies and regulatory bodies. This role combines legal expertise with strategic communication and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
•Draft, review, and manage legal documents, contracts, and agreements
•Conduct legal research and prepare briefing materials, and position papers
•Liaise with CMAP members, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external partners
•Monitor compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies
•Assist in planning and executing external communications strategies
•Represent the company in external meetings and forums as needed
•Coordinate with external counsel, government agencies, and regulatory bodies
•Support compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies
•Facilitate government transactions and maintain stakeholder relationships
•Monitor legal developments and provide updates to internal teams
•Gather data from courts and other legal information sources
•Encode data in the iCMAP system
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Law, or related field
At least 2 years of experience in legal support, government relations, or external affairs
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Familiarity with Philippine legal and regulatory frameworks
Experience in advocacy, public affairs, or media relations is an advantage
